Activities Assistant/Door Screener (Full-Time) Benefits after 60 days:

Activities Assistant/Door Screener Position Summary:

The Activity Assistant assists the Activity Director to provide group and individual activities for the residents.
Duties will involve personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that will include some weekends, evening and holidays. Tasks also will involve record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment and maintenance of storage areas.

Activities Assistant/Door Screener Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent. Preference is given to persons with experience in long term setting and/or certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant.
Verbal and writing abilities are necessary to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public.
Motor coordination and manual dexterity are required to lead activity programing.
Ability to read, understand, and follow activity directions and work assignments. Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency. Must be patient and tolerate toward residents, family members and co-workers.
Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.

Activities Assistant/Door Screener Physical Requirements:

Stands and walks throughout the working day.
Reaches, stoops, bends, lifts, carries, and manipulates various Activity supplies and equipment.
Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents. Must be free from infection or diseases.
Must be able to lift or carry up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to push residents in wheelchairs to and from activity areas.

Additional Duties for Activities Assistant/Door Screener include:

Conduct temperature checks on all personnel entering the facility (Employees, Vendors, etc.).
Pre-screen personnel with formatted document to ensure no symptoms or exposure to Covid-19 has occurred.
Assist with all other duties assigned by Administrator and Activities Director.
