HR Generalist
Sandusky, Ohio
Depending on education and years of experience, salary up to 70K + bonus potential, profit sharing and excellent 401K!

Manufacturer is seeking an HR Generalist to perform HR duties for the facility. Daily you will be responsible for the following human resources functions:

• Answer benefits-related questions and assisting staff with benefits claims
• Coach and counsel employees
• Recruit, interview and orientate hourly production and salary hires on an as-needed basis
• Utilize the company ATS (applicant tracking system) to document new hires and recruitment processes
• Onboard, orient and complete the new hire process for employees
• Track and document vacation and attendance
• Maintain HR records and file management
• Complete employee investigations
• Documentation of FMLA and BWC related processes
• Other duties as directed by management

REQUIREMENTS for the HR Generalist:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at 1-3 years of HR generalist experience or an Associate's degree with at least 2-4 years of HR generalist experience
2. Manufacturing HR experience
3. Experience supporting salary and hourly workforces
4. Experience recruiting at the hourly level
5. Strong employee relations experience
6. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Teams

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Exposure to safety
2. Experience working with Kronos
3. HR certifications
4. BWC and/or FMLA experience
5. Salary recruitment
