Position Summary

To be a partner to Marketing, Product Development, Technical Services and Manufacturing in the introduction of new products (Innovation or Renovation). This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. It may extend from the initial conceptual studies through to project closeout.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Responsibilities:
• Propose and implement work processes, procedures in compliance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Project Management Activity.
• Coordinate personnel (e.g. other project engineers, project managers, technicians, contractors etc.) to ensure the projects objectives are satisfied.
• Demonstrate and promote the company's values. Encourage the integration of the corporate values into the project culture. This includes the "Nestlé Corporate Business principles" and "Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles".

Functional Responsibilities:
• Ensure that one exhibits an attitude of intolerance for unsafe situations and never implement any change, whether directly instructed to, or under your own initiative, without first questioning its impact in relation to product safety/quality, people safety and the environment.
• Ensure that the highest principles of ethical conduct.
• Liason with commercial teams.
• Support and encourage clear and open communication between the team members and related stakeholders, e.g. site and market management, PTC, CO Engineering, CT Packaging and the SBU.

Specific responsibilities relating to the conceptual study phase (feasibility & approval).
Specific responsibilities relating to the design phase.
Specific responsibilities relating to the implementation phase.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering Field. (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or applicable years of experience in lieu of degree.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5+ years of significant experience and achievement in a technical field with a project engineering background.
• Corporate Engineering experience, preferred
• Supervisory experience in managing internal and external project team members or equivalent.

SKILLS:
General and professional skills
• Strong technical, managerial and leadership skills.
• Project Engineering/Management.
• In-depth knowledge of food processing plant and technology, or similar industry.
• Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and equipment.
• Communication and Networking.
• Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers
