Job purpose

Digital Room, Inc. is seeking a smart and energetic Packing Associate to work in our growing shipping & receiving department. The ideal candidate should have general shipping knowledge, packing boxes, material handling with some computer knowledge. This position is part-time.

Duties and responsibilities

• Works well in a team environment to ensure all customer merchandise is shipped securely and promptly
• Must be computer savvy and a willingness to learn in-house programs and systems
• Familiar with FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping programs.
• Accurately processing of orders
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years experience in a Shipping or Receiving position
• Familiarity with normal shipping and receiving methods including familiarity with package carriers.
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision and constant direction.
• Commitment to excellence and high quality standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Acute attention to detail
• Some computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a larger group.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Working conditions

The Packer position will work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with loud noises from machines and varying temperatures depending on weather.
