Responsibilities:
• Support Sustainable Sourcing strategy for assigned material categories including both Ingredients and Packaging.
• Operationalize Nestl's US16 Sustainable Sourcing strategy (e.g. animal welfare, sustainability, and responsible sourcing, etc.) by engaging with across Procurement and business stakeholders to drive outcomes. FARM Certified 2nd party evaluator
• Manage scope, schedule, budget of key projects that meet our US16 commitments with monthly updates Procurement Leadership. Align support and be transparent where possible across all Nestle operating companies in the U.S. market.
• Work with the category procurement teams, for Nestle USA, Nestle Professional, Nestle Nutrition, Nestle Health Science, and other businesses as assigned, Business Partners for project updates.
• Conduct regular communications around sustainable sourcing and sustainability activities between internal partners and external organizations, in alignment with US16 Sustainable Sourcing strategy.
• Track vendor performance on compliance with Responsible Sourcing Standard program using existing tools and templates. Work with internal stakeholders and US16 Champions to achieve KPIs within Responsible Sourcing Program.
• Participate in US initiatives and external working groups exploring and/or engaging on animal welfare, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable sourcing topics outside of the sustainable sourcing commitments as needed or requested.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ year Strategic purchasing experience and/or Responsible Sourcing/Sustainability experience
• Demonstrated fluency in sustainability sciences
• Practical spend category experience with one or more categories in his/her area of responsibility
• Agricultural, physical, or biological sciences background a plus
• Demonstrated operational buying capability, negotiating skills a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of the agri-food supply-chain a plus
• Candidate must be a demonstrated quick study, proven ability to manage change, ability to work across boundaries and borders, strong decision making
• Excellent communicator, demonstrated skills in collaboration and team leadership
• Demonstrated strong project management skills
