Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE and I) is a high visibility role and will be responsible for leading the systematic deployment and integration of processes and practices throughout various organizational systems that achieve ProMedica's DE and I strategy. Core scope of responsibility will focus on process improvement and results within workplace culture and operations, with additional involvement in the DE and I health equity and community strategies. Key interactions include human resources leadership, business executives and cross-functional teams and senior leaders across the organization.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Provide leadership in the effective development and execution of the DE and I workplace, healthcare and community strategy across the enterprise.
* Build strong relationships and trusted partnerships with senior leaders that enable them to drive DE and I strategies within the business.
* Partner with human resources leadership to integrate DE and I into HR strategies, practices, and processes across the employee lifecycle.
* Partner with talent management and organizational excellence to design a learning strategy and solutions that enable the workforce to act inclusively and achieve DE and I strategic workplace, healthcare, and community objectives.
* Provide direct support and consultation to senior leaders on key strategic initiatives and business improvement opportunities across the enterprise such as supplier & business development diversity & inclusion, marketing, sales & communications, and workforce and consumer education and training.
* Collaborate with senior leaders, human resources and legal to respond to and educate about discrimination and harassment and maintain compliance with relevant state and federal laws.
* Represent the organization internally and externally and build strong relationships with organizations where there is strategic alignment.
* Displays curiosity and a strong desire for learning, stays current on industry and practice trends and advances, and ensures cycles of improvement in the organization.
* Provide leadership to DE and I department staff and manage team resources and budget.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, health and human services fields, human resources or an equivalent combination of experiences.

* Communicates effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs and deliverables of different audiences.

* Working knowledge of state and federal laws - e.g., EEO, applicable healthcare laws, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Significant experience within DE and I and/or human resources related practice. Increasing scope of roles and responsibility with a proven ability to innovate and achieve measurable results in collaboration and partnership with others.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: According to facility requirements, as determined by the location.
Physical Demands: Moderate walking, climbing steps, lifting, bending. Potential for many assignments to be completed virtually.
