Concord Care Center of Toledo responds to the needs of those residents with mental illness, mild to moderate dementia, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral needs. The facility is dedicated in design and services to caring for this specialized segment of the long term care community as well as those seeking short-term rehabilitation. The goal of our specially trained staff is to deliver care and services with patience and innovation, while promoting quality of life for our residents. A qualified candidate provides leadership for and facility, a safe and risk free environment which supports a collaborative approach to assessing, improving, and maintaining the performance of quality resident care activities and achievement of desired outcomes, including utilization of appropriate quality control programs. The Unit Manager (UM) is responsible for the clinical services delivered to residents at facility with 24-hour accountability. UM provides consistent leadership, which embodies the purpose, tone and expected performance within the organization and participates collaboratively in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the corporate philosophy for the provision of services. The Unit Manager (UM) participates in the development and implementation of the company's philosophy and mission, to provide employees the direction and focus required to deliver personalized resident care and ensure courteous, effective interpersonal communication The Unit Manager (UM)adheres to all applicable local, state, federal, and corporate rules and regulations and voluntary accreditation standards. Qualifications: 1. Current licensure as a Registered in the state of Ohio. 2. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. 3. Course work or experience with medical terminology. 4. Ability to direct the implementation of the company's philosophy, goals, and standards. 5. One year of experience in providing direct nursing care and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of psychiatric adult and geriatric resident care. 6. Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required. 7. Knowledge and proficient use of Point Click Care (PCC) 8. Maintain current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The UM is accountable for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating resident care on a daily basis. As a UM he/she assumes a leadership position in the clinical coordination of holistic patient care in a collaborative environment that includes the resident, family, nursing staff, physician, and extended health care team. As a UM assigned staff will be responsible for caring for those residents that are dealing with chronic illnesses, afflictions, and disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess an extraordinary level of patience, knowledge of nursing interventions, analytic thinking, and a strong compassion for helping people to deal with behavioral needs along with providing / offering physical and psycho-social support.
