Reports to the Operations Manager and performs all tasks with little supervision. Performs a variety of laboratory tasks. Analyzes and tests manufactured and recycled Company products to ensure product quality and composition.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses laboratory equipment to analyze, measure and test chemicals to ensure quality control of products.
• Performs calculations and routine tests.
• Prepares and translates Certificates of Analysis.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Adheres to company quality processes, as applicable.
• Assists to resolve product quality issues in an efficient and timely manner, as applicable
• Capable of packaging and accurately certifying hazardous materials for surface and air shipments
• Maintain good working relationship with co-workers
• Log equipment use in preventative maintenance log
• Read and comprehend documents such as equipment manuals and MSDS's
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor/Manager

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Experienced in laboratory procedures
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently

Education/Training:

• Associate of Science or BS preferred
• 1-year laboratory experience
• Experience in SAP & SharePoint preferred
• Proficient with computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
• Exposure to some adverse and undesirable environmental conditions. Some safety risks when doing analysis. May require safety equipment and precautions such as use of fume hood and safety glasses. Work requires prolonged standing and driven visual concentration when taking measurements, testing and analysis.
