GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Space Planner is responsible for executing the space planning activities in support of the Product Management goals for the programs/occasions and brands for which they are accountable.

This role is responsible for executing the Product Management intent through the development and maintenance of POGs and PSTs (Product Selection Tables) and managing the execution of line transitions from a merchandising/POG perspective. The space planner is responsible for ensuring the productivity of their occasions is maintained at retail by ensuring the right product is placed in the right doors.

Space planning takes the high level Product Management strategies and goals and ensures that the retail presentation is in line with intent for the Planograms for which he/she is responsible. The space planner is responsible for determining which captions, price points and ultimately which items from the master line will appear in which POGs to meet these goals and drive retail productivity. This is done through detailed analysis of their occasions and retail results. These decisions determine the assortment of product at retail for each door.

Additionally these individuals are responsible for evaluating the performance of their Planograms and identifying opportunities to increase retail productivity over time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in executing continuous improvement opportunities

Determine price/caption mix for POGs and builds POGs and PSTs (Product Selection Tables) to support Product Managements assortment strategies

Analyzes productivity and profitability for their POGs and suggests areas of opportunity to better achieve goals.

Partners with Product Management and Sales leaders across card organization to execute line changes at retail and manage productivity of space; identifying opportunities to improve productivity through optimization.

Optimize planograms based on analysis to maintain and grow retail POS

Execute line transitions and planogram updates within budget
