Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler should have 2 or more years of experience in mechanical machine assembly work. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position.

THIS OPENING IS FOR 2ND SHIFT POSITION: 1:30PM TO 10PM

TRAINING TAKES PLACE ON 1ST SHIFT: 8AM-4PM (1 MONTH)

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
  • Inspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Lead and instruct others in proper assembly of various mechanical assemblies
  • Maintain proper project documentation
  • Responsible for all duties required for teardown and crating of equipment for shipment
  • Maintain a photo/video library of all builds in an organized manner

Desired Skills & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of machinery assembly experience
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
  • Experience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools
  • Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
  • Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
  • Machining and electrical experience and knowledge is a plus
