Job description

Mahoning Valley Historical Society (MVHS) seeks an organized, confident, and motivated Communications Manager to develop, implement and oversee marketing and public relations, branding, and publications for a dynamic and growing organization. The Communications Manager also participates in development of annual and special events and membership programs, and institutional planning, in cooperation with staff, volunteers and various standing committees of the Board of Directors, under the supervision of the MVHS Executive Director.

A degree and background in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or Design, or a Liberal Arts discipline with previous experience in for-profit or non-profit communications is preferred. A working knowledge of MS Office, and publishing and design software is required, as are excellent verbal and written communications skills.
