Job description

Parker + Lynch is currently recruiting for a Tax Lead. This excellent role would be great for a candidate who has 1 year of tax preparation experience, at least 6 months of tax review experience, knowledge with both income and corporate tax rules, and 1040/1120 working experience. A Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. This position is fully remote, CST or EST time zones preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing tax returns and work papers prepared by Tax Specialists
• Providing on the job training for the Tax Specialists and serving as the man point of contact for Tax Specialists and local Client Relationship Team
• Assist in identifying, developing, implementing, and supporting process improvements
• All other projects assigned

• Excellent analytical and basic research skills
• Flexibility to help and adjust to new tasks if needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate work as needed
• Must be able to work independently in a remote environment
• Must be detail-oriented

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of general accounting or tax experience
• Minimum of 2 years of tax preparation and review experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Prior supervisory experience, strongly preferred but not required
• Proficient use of tax applications and research such as OneSource, SurePrep, GoSystems, GoFileRoom, and Dataflow, strongly preferred but not required
