Job description

Our company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic, growing team at the Bridgepoint apartment community!

The Assistant Property Manager serves as back-up to the Property Manager for our 397 unit multi-family apartment community. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Property Manager who has worked for a community that is undergoing rehabilitation and understands the challenges involved. Customer service knowledge and experience is important, as you are the face of the community.

Hours will include weekdays and some weekends on a rotating basis. You will receive time off during the week when you are scheduled to work on the weekend.

In addition to your wage, you will also earn $50 for every executed 12-month lease you personally secure and you will share in a monthly bonus for all lease renewals!

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Securing new leases
  • Attracting and educating new tenants
  • Assisting with collections and applying rent to tenant accounts
  • Assisting with evictions
  • Ensuring all work orders are processed in a timely fashion
  • Assisting with the resolution of resident complaints
  • Enforcing property rules and regulations
  • Helping supervise and train the staff
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Property Manager of a 200+ unit apartment community
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • English and Spanish speaking highly desired
  • 3+ years of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of multifamily property management practices and processes, building and grounds maintenance, resident relations, leasing, rent collection, eviction procedures, accounting principles, property safety and use of Rent Manager software
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
  • Competence in personal computer skills, to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as Rent Manager
  • Solid understanding of the Fair Housing Act, as well as apartment management laws and regulations at the federal, state and local levels
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and the ability to be pleasant under all circumstances
  • Demonstrates a professional appearance and represents the company in a professional manner at all times

Our benefits package includes Medical, Dental and Vision (the company pays 80% of employee coverage) as well as Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability (the company pays 100% of employee coverage). PTO includes 8 paid holidays, plus paid vacation/sick leave.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
