Job Duties

• Ensure streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization
• Lead in managing IT-related activities of the organization
• Lead a team within the IT department
• Assist with performance management and hiring of the employees within the department
• Provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department
• Work closely with key decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for the entire company
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices
• Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring - ensuring system architecture components work seamlessly together
• Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise- help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
• Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of the systems, as well as backups
• Facilitate and manage Cyber Security protocols as established by Executive Management
• Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
• Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
• Assist with budget for the IT department, including hardware and software spend
• Assist with business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
• Recommend improvements when needed and adherence to existing IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision
• Assist with vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements
• Oversee IT staff with supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Technology or related field
• 7+ years of experience in technology field or a combination of education and experience
• Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
• Must be able to lead and grow a team
• Current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery and caching
• Experience in project management, application design and integration and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure)
• Expertise in creating, analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems
• Creating volumes, assigning to servers and remove replication
• ERP systems management experience -Epicor a plus
• SQL experience
• Cyber security management a plus
