Job Description

• Primarily preparing and autoclaving media, broth, and laboratory equipment for use in microbial testing
• Preparing samples for multiple analyses by homogenizing, cutting, and weighing
• Placing identifying information and stickers on sample analysis bags and plates
• Pipette sample solution into tubes or plates according to the analysis process being performed. Must be capable of making serial dilutions.
• Autoclave laboratory waste as required
• Performing basic microbiological techniques to analyze food products for the presence of bacteria

Qualifications

• Degree or background in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or related preferred
• Punctual, reliable, and exercises good judgment
• Ability to interact with clients as a responsible representative of the company
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Clean driving record
