Job Summary: The Billing Clerk II monitors patient accounts and initiates billing procedures for the purpose of maximizing reimbursement. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of healthcare billing practices including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement procedures and protocols. Working knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding practices. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented in the examination of numerical data.
