What you'll be doing...

The Risk Management Consultant is responsible for supporting both enterprise-wide and Supplier Risk Office-specific initiatives. The individual will support multiple time-sensitive and complex projects simultaneously. You will proactively engage constituencies from Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, Systems, Global Clearance & Export Control, Audit, Finance, etc., in solving issues, driving implementations, developing & revising policies and procedures, and providing system process support on an ongoing basis.The primary focus of this role is to drive supplier risk management activities with a focus on risk assessments, quality control, corrective actions, and reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the overarching strategy, with critical focus on helping develop new solutions and strategies for managing supplier risk.

You will be expected to apply analytical skills to drive changes through business acumen and technology savviness. You will seek out process improvements and best practices that can be leveraged to drive efficiency across the Supplier Risk Office's span. The ideal candidate will be somebody who stays abreast of emerging industry trends in order to continuously update our strategy and assess how competition differs from Verizon's current state.

* Liaise with internal and external parties, including auditors, as it relates to the Third Party Risk Management Oversight Program for the Company.
* Ensure adequate, appropriate and current third party risk documentation is maintained.
* Execute contingency & exit strategies and plans are in place should service be disrupted or an engagement needs to be terminated.
* Coordinate ongoing annual risk reviews and control assurance activity.
* Engage and coordinate input from responsible areas, as necessary. Implement the completion of remediation activities with business management, arising from risk assessments and reviews performed.
* Monitor process compliance and provide management information to appropriate stakeholders.
* Provide reporting to various levels of executive and management forums. Monitor, and analyze KPIs and KRIs. Report on Key Performance Indicators and metrics to ensure third-party is achieving key business objectives.
* Reporting: Establish and maintain reporting accuracy, consistency, data integrity and creation/distribution of scorecards, dashboards, and reports, as appropriate.
* Ensure SLAs are consistently met or exceeded in accordance with contractual obligations.
* Produce and deliver reports to senior management to track productivity, quality and efficiency third-party relationships.
* Maintain strong, "trusted advisor" consultative, SME relationships with stakeholders and users through delivery of critical initiatives, growing both Supply Management's, as well as the Third-Party Lifecycle Management initiative's.
* Provide ongoing delivery of weekly and monthly reporting to the TPRM Committee, Sourcing VP, and leadership within various business units.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Four or more years of relevant work experience.
* Three or more years of relevant work experience in the following domains: enterprise risk management, third party risk management, internal audit, or compliance.
* Ability to lead highly collaborative problem solving initiatives related to third-party residual risk issues.

Even better if you have:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Business Administration
* Advanced analytical skills and communication skills.
* Strong technical experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
* Strong relationship management skills including peers, executives, internal/external customers, third party vendors, and various stakeholders.
* Ability to produce accurate and timely information in a highly dynamic work environment with strong Customer Focus mindset.
* Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
* Ability to translate business requirements and guide specification development with IT and the Supply Chain Systems support team.
* Telecommunications industry and Risk Planning experience.
* Well organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple task.
* Ability to prioritize projects, establish realistic timelines/milestones and achieve results.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management including senior leaders.
* Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP) certification.
