Sr. Staff Accountant

Job description

Nesco Resource has an opening to assist a local IT company with the expansion and growth of their finance department based out of Tulsa, OK. This role will work closely with the CFO and Sr. Accountant to support system implementation and process improvement within the accounting team. Responsibilities: Obtainining and maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledge structure.
Participating in the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
Assisting with finance system implementations and special projects to improve processes within finance function.
Preparing special reports and perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
Monitoring and analyzing accounting work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications 3+ years of public accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related fields; CPA or CPA-eligible required.
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Currently working remote and eventually plan to have some plan to return to the office in a full time or hybrid mix
