Kelly is seeking a Remote Cluster Lab Engineer for our client in Hillsboro, OR. This 11+month assignment offers competitive pay and great benefits!!

Pay: $Flexible (W-2)

Contract Length: 11+ month contract role with a possibility of extension

Location: Hillsboro, OR. Open to Remote. Preference to candidates local to the area. Ideally if they could come onsite if possible down the road.

**Job Description:**

The main duties are building, configuration, and maintenance of high-performance computing cluster test beds in an internal test Iab, with predominantly Linux based clusters and High-performance Fabrics like InfiniBand and 100-200Gb Data Center Ethernet. The work includes installation and troubleshooting of both production and preproduction servers, GPUs, switches, and software, as well as development of scripts for automation of cluster provisioning and configuration. In addition, the maintenance includes support for users of the systems, internal documentation of practices, and general maintenance of the Iab spaces.

**Skill Level Experience:**

+ BS degree required

+ Two or more years of experience in Linux or Unix system administration and maintenance, including hardware and software troubleshooting.

+ Experience in one or more scripting Languages is required, preferably Perl, Python and/or shell scripting.

+ Hands-on experience with Linus clusters, e.g., Rocks or Warewulf installations, is highly desired.

**Additional Skills and or Education:**

+ Network file storage and backup administration

+ Building non-standard Linux kernels

+ Batch system setup, tuning, and administration

+ IDAP setup and administration

+ IP and network routing configuration and security

+ Server management using out-of-band tools

+ Jenkins CI testing environment

+ Server platform performance tools
