Job description

As a Marketplace Operations Sr. Business Analyst, you will support general operations and health of the business by providing impactful insights to deliver business results. You will analyze and influence business decisions through tradeoffs with x-functional partners to run the business profitably. You will inspire change in the organization by making analytics part of day-to-day business strategy to ensure better quality decisions while keeping the marketplace clean. You will lead the sustainable performance management cycle to drive decision making to increase revenue and margin. You are responsible for providing relevant and accurate data, highlighting risks and opportunities, for internal and external partners.
Key Accountabilities:

  • E2E planning and influencing results; connecting analytics and the business (e.g. synchronize and optimize shipping plans vs. Order Book and Financial expectations, Full price inventory optimization and decision making, collaborating with finance and planning partners, etc.)
  • Monitor & measure the health of the business through identifying and deploying success metrics, creating and deploying analytics to drive accountability
  • Drive impactful insights for the business, including identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and collaborating externally with Foot Locker
  • Proficiency in developing metrics / KPIs for performance management and analytical visualizations; proficiency in executive communication materials
  • Track, trace, and communicate Seasonal delivery performance (e.g., outbound shipping, operational risks, etc.); recommend mitigation strategies
  • Work across account, channel, marketplace, planning, finance and merchandising teams to find opportunities to define go-forward operational strategy.
  • Lead and participate in "business analyst" network across the Org to gain insight and drive standard methodologies; be a mentor to team / analyst community

In this role, you will be the key asset within the MPO organization for decision making in partnership with the Marketplace Operations Director. You will prepare data findings with clear action points on a continuous basis in support of the MPO Account, Channel, and Seasonal Leadership with recommendations for action; collaborate and build executive communication in collaboration with leadership to influence decision-making. Build, maintain, and elevate a decision-making model that will enable the MPO team to make better operational, tactical, and strategic decisions with regards to consumer value and profitability;

Qualifications
Critical Experience Requirements:
  • Lead through ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate cross-functional relationships and influence with a strategic and analytical approach
  • Proven capability of solving complex business problems though process analyses and insights
  • Ability to connect the dots and offer recommended solutions across the value chain (cause and effect)
  • Proven external and leadership level communication (verbal and written)
  • End-to-end supply chain knowledge
  • Advanced KPI management, and deployment to drive accountability with metrics
  • Retail Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Performance Management, Supply Chain Operations, S&OP, Finance or related experience preferred
  • Proficiency in sophisticated analytical tools (R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and Python) as well proficiency in Word/Office suites
  • Experience leading internal and external relationships
  • Familiarity with retail operations and supply chain preferred
  • Consulting skill-set is not required, but a strong plus
