What you will be doing:
The IT Digital division is seeking an eCommerce Business Analyst with Magento experience to assemble business and technical requirements, author and detail out Jira Issues, provide digital commerce consultancy, and serve as an internal SME to our business units. The digital technology Business Analyst will lead analysis & design activities for IT solutions in the eCommerce channels to support continued growth. This role will support the Helen of Troy life-style brand and help lead Agile releases and support ongoing enterprise-wide projects!
Interview partners, document and workflow analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, software selection, business process definition and use case production. Lead discussions on design and user-experience requirements with annotated wires and design (comps) deliverables.
In partnership with the Scrum Master serve as the conduit between the business users and the development teams, ensuring that project results are met according to the agreed and documented business requirement, and supporting the change around the deployment of new business processes.
Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business partners. Assist the engineering team in providing accurate estimates to Jira Issues.
Seek, communicate and help improve systems, workflow, process with a Lean Methodology.
Be an advocate for a culture of continuous improvement with a value-driven attitude that puts customers (internal & external) first.
On smaller projects lead scrum events such as the daily standup, demonstrations and post-launch retrospectives.
Assist project/program managers with sponsor sign off of requirement.
Communicate requested changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements- verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other partners so that issues and solutions are understood, and a change control process can be managed.
Liaison with the Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams. Support QA Case Study authoring as needed.
Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough "ready" stories in the backlog.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
Experience as a Subject Matter Expert in 3rd party commerce applications like payment, product data, order management, web analytics, content management, promotions, search etc.
Experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.
Established track record in defining success criteria, metrics, test and deployment management methodologies.
Demonstrable ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating partnership, innovation and excellence.
Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and ambitious demands.
Strong functional and technical knowledge: JIRA, Confluence, Jama, MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Executed process improvement initiatives assessing current and future state solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information / Business Systems (MIS).
3+ years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst within a digital commerce domain.
3+ years of digital commerce experience in global enterprise organization.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a consulting firm.
2+ years of Magento 2 experience/Adobe Commerce.
Business System Analyst Certification (IIBA).
PMP, Prince or another Project Management Certification.
