In this role, the Systems Design Architecture Engineer is responsible for systems work on new and existing products in the FRS/TL group. Systems work occurs in 4 main product develop phases: Concept Generation, Design Execution, Design Validation, and High-level Product Support.

Some Key Things You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure necessary and sufficient requirements for each system, product, and deliverable are developed, understood, documented, and communicated in a logical and timely manner. Resolve technical requirement conflicts with the program core team.
  • Perform evaluation of competitive products or solutions.
  • Assess technology risks and tradeoffs, including use and modularity of in-house technology.
  • Represent the technical development efforts for a project, by participating in a cross-functional Project Core Team.
  • Ensure system design alternatives are defined and properly evaluated against clear and quantifiable specifications.
  • Lead cross-functional technical design teams.
You Will Bring The Following To The Role
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Optical Engineering
  • 3-5 yrs experience
  • Familiarity with Jazz Tool Suite (Requirements Generation, Test Tracking, Defect Tracking)
  • Familiarity with system modeling tools (such as Matlab or Extend)
  • Ability to work with in-house generated custom software
