Job description

Role Proficiency:

Acts with guidance to handle day to- to-day operations board setup and rework of components in a semiconductor lab


Outcomes:

  1. Ensure compliance in all lab audits (internal and external)
  2. Perform low complexity board setup.
  3. Perform low complexity SMD level rework
  4. Perform first level debug for low complexity motherboard
  5. Perform lab Staging and Scrapping tasks
  6. Perform lab Inventory handling
  7. Enable compliance to 6S process
  8. Ensures efficient operation and utilization of lab equipment/ Materials / Lab benches/ Lab Floor space
  9. Complete arrangement for repair and calibration of major equipment.
  10. Perform basic lab setup including host and network
  11. Handle shipments (inbound and outbound) utilizing shipment management tools.
  12. Mentor Assistant Lab Administrators to effectively perform in their roles
  13. Set FAST Goals and provide feedback of FAST goals of mentees


Measures of Outcomes:

  1. Adherence to lab process and standards (lab standards)
  2. Adherence to schedules and timelines
  3. Adhere to SLAs where applicable
  4. Reduction of reoccurrence of handling error as per SLA
  5. Comply with defined productivity standards for lab process
  6. Completion of all mandatory training requirements


Outputs Expected:

Compliance :

  1. Support information governance activities and audit preparations.


Configure:

  1. Basic lab set up and of host and network


Inventory Management:

  1. Lab asset tracking / Lab internal transfer monitoring and control
  2. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations stock levels and adjustments
  3. Perform periodic analysis to predict potential inventory problems
  4. Prepare the material purchase list
  5. Order new supplies avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.


Document:

  1. Create documentation for own work as well as perform peer review of documentation of others' work


Manage knowledge:

  1. Consume and contribute to lab related documents share point and client universities.


Status Reporting:

  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Compliance to lab related reporting standards and process


Mentoring:

  1. Mentor Lab Assistants in the team
  2. Set FAST goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees


Skill Examples:

  1. Estimate time effort and resources required for task deliverables
  2. Perform the task in the customer or target lab environments
  3. Work in a team environment
  4. Good written and verbal communication abilities
  5. Proactively ask for and offer help
