Hillsboro, OR

Hours: M-F 7:00am-3:00pm

Pay Rate: $20.50/hr

Kelly has an exciting new opportunity for an Inspection Lab tech in Hillsboro OR. This position is responsible for analyzing samples in a timely manner in a manufacturing environment for composition, impurities and functional characteristics and will operate and maintain analytical chemistry instruments and tools. Here you will be working in the inspection department with other Chemists/Lab Techs. This is a great entry level position with training and room for long term career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and analyzes samples using analytical instruments and tools
• Operation, maintenance, and installation of new analytical instruments and tools
• Monitors reagent and testing supplies
• Standard qualification
• Performs MSA studies for validation of analytical testing methods
• Monitor product trends
• Writes SOPs, Data, and Forms according to ISO standards
• Performs cleaning and organizing of all inspection areas
• Proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste
• Continuous quality improvement as related to ISO 9001.
• Maintaining quality records
• Attending annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling, general safety, quality management, and environmental management

Requirements:

• 2-Year AA Degree or equivalent education and experience
• Good multitasking and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to maintain ISO document and record control
• Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.
