Kelly is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to work with our Hillsboro-based client, a nonprofit organization in the financial services field, on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join the growing team of an industry-leading organization that has seen over 60 years of success. The position will start out onsite during training and will later have the flexibility to work from home four days per week (hybrid).
The Senior Portfolio Manager will:
- Balance costs and benefits to optimize portfolio performance
- Develop Balance Sheet management strategies to optimize Balance Sheet
- Mentor and provide guidance to all Capital Markets team members
- Partner with executive leadership in the development and implementation of investment strategies to meet earnings goals within the framework of risk metrics
- Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management is compliant with established policies, business strategies, and regulatory guidelines
- Lead regular portfolio review meetings with key stakeholders and executives to report on portfolio performance with clear analysis and recommended actions
- Monitor changing market conditions to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas of risk
- Maintain specialized current knowledge in financial markets, economics, and portfolio theory
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in portfolio management in the financial services industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Master's degree and/or CFA designation preferred but not required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Expert understanding of fixed income securities, total return concepts, economic principles/trends and their impact on investment portfolios, economic data and the impact on capital markets
- Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically to all levels
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
