Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager

The QA manager will own the company's quality management system and help the company and lab leadership set the highest data & scientific standards in the industry.

Position Summary & Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to build a best-in-class quality control team within a fast-growing

business. You will lead and implement a comprehensive program to secure the ISO 17025 accreditation for our food & dietary supplement analytical lab, and supervise all daily lab quality control processes. The role will report to the company's CEO.


As a part of the company's leadership, you will partner with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), R&D team and daily lab operation to uphold an unmatched quality and data integrity culture in the company.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hire & develop talent. Lead the lab QA staff and build a high-performance team.

• Own the documentation policies including the lifecycle management of documents in the

appropriate electronic management system.

• Develop and monitor weekly, monthly and annual quality control metrics & KPI's to drive

continuous improvement.

• Partner with the lab leadership to ensure that all results consistently stand up to internal and

external audit standards and criteria. Inform Executive Leadership Team of issues or concerns

that might lead to quality failures before they may happen.

• Ensure on-going audit-readiness for ISO, regulatory or customer audits.

• Institute on-the-job training programs aligned with company goals. Coach and mentor personnel

and facilitate their professional growth.

• Manage tech-writing resources to institute and maintain highest documentation standards.

• Partner with the CSO and Lab Director to manage daily data reviewing resource needs.

• Partner with Lab Director to ensure adherence to all relevant USDA, FDA, GMP, ISO and other

quality and regulatory standards & procedures related to test methods and facility

management.

• Own the customer complaint investigation and resolution process. Ensure that the corrective

actions are consistently communicated and implemented.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering or Chemistry. Graduate degree is preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in lab or production quality control. 3+ years in team management.

• Ability to interpret data, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations based on the data.

• Hands-on experience with ISO 17025 accreditation.

• Experience interfacing with LIMS.

• Experience implementing & maintaining rigorous documentation policies in a lab or production

environment.

• Experience with analytical method transfers, equipment and instrumentation qualification

• Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated resourcefulness, results oriented leader, who strives

for analytical excellence.

• Effective interpersonal skills with strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: Targeted range $80,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience
