Job description

The Transaction Coordinator is responsible for mortgage loan processing activities to support customers, leadership, and business lines. Perform job duties in accordance with all Riverbend policies and regulatory compliance guidelines.


Responsible for loan processing activities as assigned, including obtaining credit information from borrowers, appraisal ordering, title/escrow ordering and scheduling closes and collecting signed.


Responsible for obtaining and preparing loan documents, credit documents, appraisals, etc., to complete loan files.


This position will maintain and update records and files for processing of each loan, verify files for accuracy and completeness, and perform data entries. This position may prepare credit memos and work to obtain necessary borrower approvals for funding.


Essential Job Functions:

Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Carry Pipeline 15-30 loans.
  • Review new files, set up in internal system
  • Meet all close dates and timelines.
  • Request and order all pertinent documents
  • Troubleshoot possible issues with loans
  • Liaise between Loan Officer, Client and Underwriting.
  • Pre-underwrite all loans to ensure proper supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and distribute underwriting changes.
  • Request additional documentation post underwriting
  • Collect, submit, and clear all underwriting and funding conditions
  • Coordinate closing date and location between Borrower and Closing Agent.
  • Follow timelines and procedures and procedures set forth by underwriting.


Required Job Functions:


Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Verify confidentiality is secure by keeping drawers and sensitive information in locked drawers/cabinets.
  • Effectively communicate, work with, and build relationships with all levels of constituents including culturally and linguistically diverse staff members and external candidates and/or vendors, while operating in a fast-paced customer service driven environment.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.


Responsible for compliance with all regulations for assigned job function that apply to designated job responsibilities. Keep up to date on regulation and policy changes. Follow all Riverbend policies and procedures, compliance regulations and complete all required annual and job-specific training.


Assist with coaching, mentoring, or training others; teach coursework as a Subject Matter Expert or act as a resource for other associates as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Undergraduate degree or Associates degree (AA) in finance, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency of computer software including Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work in a service-oriented environment with high work volumes and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.


Physical and Environmental Demands


  • Office environment - no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
  • Limited travel.
