Job description

Position Overview

The role of the Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the CMD sales team with focus on the FX Chocolate brand. This position is essential to the execution and running of various sales activities and communications between retail accounts, high level communication with key distributors and our CMD core team. In this role, the Sales Support Specialist will collaborate with the Head of Sales to deliver account and distributor management and communications, including administrative support that optimizes the brand's performance within the online and retail space. The Sales Support Specialist will also assist in sales administrative duties in the areas of onboarding new retail customers, maintaining customer relationships, collating sales data and reporting on sales trends. In addition to this the Sale Support Specialist will assist in setting up and managing key customer accounts and ongoing engagement programs and other sales support where necessary. They will maintain effective communications with corporate teams across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of the brand. The Sales Support Specialist will provide outstanding customer service and help the CMD team meet their targets.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide oversight and administrative management to our key distributor accounts. Follow up for ordering, finance and administrative purposes.

  • Responsible for initial product data load in Product Content Syndication Partner portals for certain channels or customers.

  • Complete customer forms and contracts for certain channels or customer types.

  • Liaise between distributor, broker, and our internal teams. Provide troubleshooting assistance for orders, account statuses, and other problems.

  • Work with account managers to create and implement targeted sales strategies.

  • Compile a daily list of sales leads, delegate leads to the sales department, and provide sales data and guides to the sales department.

  • Keep up with new product sales launches, detail in and make sure the wider sales team is up to date with new lines.

  • Support with financial reporting and build invoicing where necessary.

  • Identify where improvement is needed in sales practices and make suggestions for improvements.

  • Proactively work towards implementing process improvements across the sales team.

  • Support in creating and processing orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, and reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Perform data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintain an organized and accessible filing system.

  • Handle administrative duties for distributors.

  • Schedule customer meetings and conferences.

  • Assistance with Trade Show and Field Marketing event coordination, administration, and staffing.

  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in marketing, business/finance, or a related field.

  • 3+ years experience within Grocery or Distributor channel essential.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of new product launches.

  • Skilled in reviewing and analyzing the necessary sales, distribution, and demand planning reports required to complete new customer paperwork.
