Arival Bank International Corp. is a US-based digital bank licensed and regulated by OCIF. After obtaining our US banking license at the beginning of 2021, we officially went live in June 2021 and onboarded 100+ corporate clients up to date from 25+ countries all over the globe. With the in-house developed smart compliance technology, Arival is on a mission to become the go-to digital bank for digital SMEs, crypto & blockchain-related businesses all over the world. We're actively growing our international team with offices in Miami, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Singapore, with over 40+ employees, and building many departments from the ground up.

EVERYDAY TASKS:

• Develop and lead the operations team
• Provide leadership, supervision, coaching and training to Payment Operations staff.
• Provide direction working with teams throughout the Bank for successful product implementations and system enhancements to improve payment operations and money movement capabilities.
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of payment operations which includes planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensure Payments Operations team members have the training, tools, and information they need in order to successfully complete their work responsibilities while also developing new skills to advance in their careers.
• Oversee daily management of operational functions for the payment channels including ACH, Wire, Bill Pay and Debit Card to ensure transactions are processed and received from and sent to internal and external parties as required.
• Ensure completion of daily back-office activities for the payment and money movement channels to include ACH processing and return handling, wire transfer processing and reporting, bill payment and debit card processing.
• Resolve broad payment operational issues, coordinate activities and work with internal teams and vendors as appropriate to troubleshoot and provide direction for problem resolution.
• Manage payment-related system testing and implementation of product changes that require customer notification to ensure timely assessment and management of customer communications and impact.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role with a significant track record leading the operations within a digital banking or fintech company.
• Digital banking and/or fintech experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations processes.
• A creative approach, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to work and make decisions independently as well as collaborate effectively as part of a wider team.
• Strong persuasion and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work across different time zones with global and regional teams.
