The Business Analyst will be responsible for collecting and using data to quantify the impact of potential payment integrity solutions. Daily tasks include accessing data from multiple adjudication platforms and building models to forecast incremental value. This individual will become immersed within specific knowledge areas to be able to perform a variety of tasks such as gathering requirements, executing on action plans and project plans, identifying risks, coordinating testing ahead of launches, and partnering with training to develop key resources for staff. To be successful in this role, the Business Analyst must be willing to think of the end user, simplify key messages, stay organized to manage multiple priorities, and bring a growth mindset to the work.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Source and analyze data across multiple claims platforms to quantify savings potential
- Gather data and requirements to map out process flows, quick reference guides, and other tools useful for the business and end users to be successful manage payment integrity solutions
- Investigate escalated issues and recommend timely solutions through critical thinking and analysis
- Identify the business impact of system/application changes, using appropriate tools and identifying capability gaps between current state and desired state
- Participate in reviews of conceptual designs and provide appropriate guidance/consulting to help ensure they satisfy all documented requirements
- Respond quickly to and effectively manage priorities for project requests, deliverables and deadlines
- Be flexible and work comfortably in a dynamic setting
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and leadership
- Work both independently and as part of a team to complete objectives
- Provide explanation and interpretation within area(s) of expertise
- Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area(s) of expertise
- Communicate effectively with all level of staff and leadership ensuring messages appropriately tailored to audience whether delivered verbally or in written format
- Provide excellent internal service to other teams
- Ensure all project requirements are clearly and comprehensively documented, understood and support traceability with reviews with stakeholders to obtain approval/sign off
- Translate problems/issues identified during the testing/piloting process and engage the appropriate stakeholders to help identify impact and potential solutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience with demonstrated critical thinking and navigating ambiguity to deliver quality results
- 1+ years of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation)
- 1+ years of experience managing multiple priorities and supporting complex projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Manage time effectively while meeting expectations of stakeholders and business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in the health care industry, in auditing, claims processing, payment integrity, claims configuration
- 2+ years of experience conducting or managing comprehensive research in business practices and performance
- 2+ years of experience in document creation or visualization experience
- 1+ years of experience using claims platforms such as Facets, IDX, Xcelys, etc.
- Experience with Payment Integrity suite of programs
- Ability to influence with and without direct management/authority
- Demonstrated ability to support innovation and work in a changing environment
- Experience launching new healthcare initiatives/ plan
- Solid analytical/statistical skills used in evaluating and analyzing data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer/consultant relationship and collaboration skills that influence successful outcomes

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $25.63 to $45.72. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.27 to $50.29. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
