What we're looking for
Vacasa seeks a Business Development Manager to join our team!
The individual should be ambitious, flexible, collaborative and an advocate for Vacasa by representing our culture of innovative thinking to company owners and employees. Their primary goal is to develop relationships, negotiate and close multi-unit opportunities to be managed by Vacasa. This role is sales focused, requires an executive presence, critical thinking, analytical thinking, and has the ability to handle complex deals and multiple stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Lead multi-unit opportunities in multiple markets throughout the United States.
- Establish strong relationships with multi-unit stakeholders such as real estate developers, HOA board, resort owners and property managers while advocating for Vacasa's business model.
- Effectively perform discovery with stakeholders to identify their pain points and communicate Vacasa's business solution(s).
- Coordinate with internal research, marketing, operations, legal, and finance resources to support individual and corporate growth goals.
- Coordinate effective travel to existing and new markets to expand the coverage and density of Vacasa markets, working closely with other departments to determine targeted areas for expansion.
- Analyze market information and interpret company financial documents such as pro-formas, income statements and make recommendations based on those findings, and present them to high-level executives.
- A commitment to closing deals resulting in growth for Vacasa.
- Provide leadership and support to multiple transactions at once.
- Collaborate with integration managers to ensure deal details are progressing as planned and aligned with approvals.
- Travel 25% to 50% depending on in person meeting activity and industry conferences.

What you'll need

Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience including selling and negotiating complex business deals.
- Flexibility and comfort in working in an ever-changing environment, as the nature of this position involves catering to the schedules of the companies that we are working with, you will often encounter last-minute changes in travel plans or business needs.
- Experience using CRM software to manage opportunities and communication.
- Established ability to recognize and meet deadlines, handle multiple deals or transactions at once, while completing work accurately.
- Proven competence at working independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, strong ability to communicate to all stakeholders, and work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and motivate people with varying personalities.
- Ability to exceed aggressive individual and organizational goals.
- Can do/will do attitude: you will act as the first point of contact for all aspects of your acquisitions whose needs aren't always confined to normal business hours. A willingness to help when help is needed is essential.
- Coordinate with lead generation, valuations, legal, integration, and other cross-functional teams who all support multi-unit deals. Your ability to communicate in a team environment in a collective and positive way is essential.
- Self-motivated and self-sufficient, while having the confidence to seek guidance and direction as needed.
- Tenacity and enthusiasm.
- Effective prioritization skills.
- Strong written, oral, computer, phone, and overall communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint abilities required.
- Formal experience in a fast-paced transactional deal environment and/or project management/hospitality experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- A love of travel.
