Management Consulting

We are hiring a Business Development Professional with: a track record of success in building business; depth and breadth of relationships in Oregon and Southwest Washington (PNW in general); executive presence; professional and personable demeanor; excellent communication skills; and high level of energy.

Responsibilities

  • Self-directed and disciplined with maturity to work independently from the firm's office and remotely from client sites. Be effective in the use of time to maximize the quality and quantity of direct customer interactions.
  • Have the ability to develop and close new business and grow business at existing clients.
  • Interface with consultants and candidates to understand client issues.
  • Prospect for new clients through email, phone calls, social interactions, and in-person meetings.
  • Prepare and present request for proposals and agreements to prospective clients.
  • Debrief regularly with CEO to provide updates on pipeline and net new activity.
  • Participate in professional organization events and attain membership of associations relevant to the firm.
  • Participate in strategic and operational development of the company, including geographic expansion.

Qualifications

  • Current or previous employment in a Big Four or boutique management consulting firm.
  • Minimum two years of formal or informal business development experience promoting/selling consulting services to clients in one or more of the following centers of excellence: Portfolio Management, Program Management, Project Management, Change Management, or Process Excellence.
  • Experience in one of the following service lines: Finance and Accounting, IT, Compliance, Supply-Chain, and Corporate Strategy.
  • Exposure to a breadth of industries.
  • Ability to establish credibility with clients and build consensus through effective interpersonal/communications skills.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or technical field required. MBA a plus.
