Job description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for a heating equipment supplier located in SE Portland. The Project Managers will support the Account Manager(s) to generate sales by means of utilizing the Bid Department, private bids, negotiated bids or promotion of commonly stocked products.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote new business, maintain and grow existing business
  • Produce documents required to manage projects clearly and effectively - submittals, quotes, letter of transmittals, installation and operation maintenance data, sales orders.
  • Read and understand construction documents e.g. blueprints, specifications, change orders, request for Information, etc.
  • Must be competent with all computer and software programs that are required to manage, maintain and promote business
  • Responsible to initiate and receive sales phone calls as required with assigned and unassigned customers in an effort to meet departmental and/or company sales goals, and to develop and maintain customer accounts
  • Promote new and add-on products with customers
  • Continual improvement of personal and occupational time management
  • Be responsible for neat and organized management of all paper and electronic files and quotes so that others can locate and understand your work
  • Attend company and affiliate meetings, events, and sales training events as needed or required by management
  • Be willing to read or study personal or professional self-improvement material, as well as industry information material as r
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Generate project quotes - both Plan & Spec as well as negotiated and design/build quotes
  • Demonstrate great team work and communication skills by working with Account Managers, Project Coordinators, Customer Service, Warehouse, Accounting Department, Bid Department and Engineering Departments

Requirements:

  • General HVAC product knowledge
  • Minimum 2 years customer service and / or project management experience
  • Light commercial and / or residential HVAC equipment sales
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
