Job description

We're looking for great candidate to fill a permanent PART-TIME sales position.

Paradise Pen Company is a national leader in fine writing instruments and our store in Pioneer Place is seeking an experienced, driven and responsible individual to join our team.
This is a part-time position with great responsibility.

  • MINIMUM of 3-5 years experience in retail - preferably high ticket items.
  • Previous key holders encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must have the following qualities: Mature, intelligent, common sense and display a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to prioritize, be organized, self-motivated and results driven.
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
  • Respectful and supportive of fellow employees.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to put the customer first -- customer service oriented.
  • Comfortable with customers from varying backgrounds -- especially high profile and international clients.
  • Ability to be at ease with customers in person as well as on the phone.
  • Good language and written skills a must.
  • Strong decision-making and problem resolution skills required.
  • Proficient at a POS/computer system.
  • Able to count money correctly.
  • Ability to handle the store by themselves for a couple hours at a time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES including, but not limited to:

  • Advise and assist customers with their choices of Paradise Pen products for themselves and for gifts.
  • Capture client information and actively develop a client base, consistently adding information to further promote boutique relationships.
  • Regularly contact clients regarding new products, events and follow up.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure customer issues are quickly resolved.
  • Receive merchandise upon arrival, inventory, ticket and organize back stock and display the new arrivals.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized and safe environment.
  • Be able to climb a 3 step stepladder regularly.
  • Able to lift boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Work schedule varies each week including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be flexible regarding scheduling.
