Title: Software Engineer

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Location: Mountain View, CA

Our client's goal is to make their product the standard operating system for in-car infotainment, providing a safe, seamless, connected and integrated experience across every vehicle and every screen in a market that has 1B+ vehicles. We are adding automotive APIs and services to the product operating system and building a service which includes Maps, Assistant, Play Store and 3rd party apps.

Software Engineers to work as part of the compliance team, searching for, investigating, reporting, and tracking defects. Duties include triaging failures and fixing them, sometimes working with test owners to fix them. Operating automated test suits and analyzing defect reports and sharing reports with team. Depending on your skills you might also be involved in more technical aspects of compliance.

Software Engineer Overall Responsibilities: Achieve a 100% pass rate for certification tests (like CTS, VTS and many more) on our clients internal reference platform for every release.

Software Engineer Daily Responsibilities:

· Track incoming issues from testing team (EngProd) and triage (sometimes fix) issues

· Work with Program managers (TPM) to investigate the test failures and drive towards resolution

· Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance fixes (like how to run the compliance suite, where to land fixes etc.)

· Provide weekly status to the teams

Software Engineer Required Education, Experience and Skills:

· Bachelors/Masters Degree

· Some technical program management experience on Android Platform

· 4+ years of experience in platform validation/testing

· 3+ years experience in triaging, tracking and reporting issues

· 3+ years experience in debugging and fixing software issues

· Working knowledge of Unix/Linux

· C/C++, Python, Java, Linux environment etc.

· Android Platform development (not the Android App development)

· Excellent analytical skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

Software Engineer Preferred Experience and Skills:

· Google sheet/ Data studio

· Technical documentation writing experience

· Git gerrit/repo
