Heirloom Roses is a fast-growing, family-owned company, investing in the growth of our roses and our employees. Our nursery is located in the fertile Willamette Valley in St. Paul, Oregon. We grow all of our own-root roses and ship them all over the United States to their new homes in our customers' gardens.
The Vice President of Marketing is a key position on our management team. We are looking for a person who is an industry leader, loves strategy as well as processes, is customer service oriented, and attends to the details required to develop and maintain a world-class e-commerce store. The ideal candidate must have experience in a growing company and have the ability to lead a team through change while enjoying that process. It doesn't hurt if this person likes roses either!
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the complete customer experience and brand image
Exemplary leadership of multiple departments
Coach and mentor department managers and new leaders
Work with company owners to determine strategic direction and needs from a marketing perspective
Be part of the Senior Management Team at the Director level
Work with the Owners and Directors to set annual revenue targets and departmental budgets
Systematize communication and expectations internally (for employees) and externally (for customers)
Specific Duties:
Develop and maintain a strong brand and corporate image and ensure it is implemented across all platforms
Manage departmental budgets
Work with the Director of Operations and Controller to track product costing and to set retail pricing.
Manage our team in the effective promotion of our roses
Develop an effective strategy for sales promotions, SEO, and PPC
Manage ongoing website development efforts, working closely with Magento developers to ensure our website and database(s) are at optimal performance
Oversee Social Media strategy and execution by the team
Document processes for uniform communication to customers across all platforms
Develop reporting processes and data review that will drive changes and improvements
Put in place strategies for email marketing and work with our creative team to execute these strategies
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process and strategically determine the best go-to-market strategy for Heirloom Branded products
Work with department managers across the company to develop systems and processes for changes that impact the website, inventory, and customer experience
Document processes for systematizing internal departmental operations
Develop and document onboarding training materials for our Customer Care Representatives
Qualifications:
MBA preferred; minimally a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a marketing role with an e-commerce focus
Extensive management experience with a focus on direct to consumer/professional inclusive of CPC, SEM & SEO
Experience with Magento 2.0 platform
Ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of management and staff in a structured and clear manner and to positively influence others
Ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams with proven management experience
Proven track record of marketing growth success
Excellent written and verbal communication skills data-driven combined with action-oriented implementation; has the ability to translate data into successful marketing strategies and then lead and delegate the actionable items with team members
Strong desire to constantly learn about new digital marketing and product trends and to help shape the business growth from the ground up
Outstanding ability to strategically identify and resolve problems, identify growth opportunities for the brand, and implement initiatives to meet strategic goals set by the team of Directors and Owners
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
