We have an opening for a qualified Tractor-Trailer Operator/ Driver with an Oregon Class A CDL license. This position is responsible for operating the over-the-road tractor-trailer and several other trucks to deliver and retrieve product from our customers.

Essential Functions:

• Load and unload equipment from trailer or trucks.

• Transport load over required route observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Deliver paperwork to customer as required; retrieve signed paperwork from customer.


Job Duties:

• Observe and record state of equipment delivered and retrieved from customer.

• Complete and submit documentation accurately and timely.

• Maintain state and federal logs.

• Maintain service of trailer and trucks daily including fluid levels (oil, water, fuel), tire pressure and visibility.

• Report trailer and truck service needs and/or malfunctions.

• Knowledgeable of all products.

• Respectfully takes direction from Rental Manager and Transportation Coordinator.

• Works well alone and collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude

• Provide excellent customer service and maintains existing relationships

• Ability to learn and comply with all Federal, State, and Norlift employment regulations or policies.

• Requires an acceptable driving record / ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.

• Self- driven and strong initiative.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with customer or employee.

• Mechanical/ technical aptitude

• Ability to quickly establish rapport and positive working relationships

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Strong attention to detail including detailed visual inspection skills

• Patient, good judgment, works well independently, thorough


Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Oregon Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Previous towing experience a plus


Education & Experience:

• Preferred prior experience transporting industrial equipment

• Preferred 1-3 years of CDL driving experience

• Manual dexterity to control tractor-trailer and its load

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. using mechanical assistance.

• Primarily traveling to and from customer location and dealership.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to chemicals, odors, loud noise

and mechanical moving parts when interacting with production employees in the various plant locations.
