Job Description

The official PSI job title for this position is Associate, Process Improvement.

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with business users in identifying, documenting and communicating the business requirements to the software, business intelligence and Robotic Process Automations teams. This individual will become a subject matter expert about key business functions, processes and workflows associated with various departments and projects within PSI. You will serve as the liaison between our business areas and our IT development teams.

  • Lead multiple project meetings; driving requirement gathering and reviews with the business users.
  • Create high-level business and user requirements into functional and technical requirements
  • Create documentation of detailed requirements including any necessary mock-ups, workflows, data requirements and security/privacy needs
  • Promote business understanding of IT processes and status while maintaining open, transparent communication with the business units
  • Document business use cases as part of the functional requirements
  • Define current and future scenarios such as processes, models, use cases, user stories, plans, and solutions
  • Engage with, coach and facilitate discussions with business groups to help stakeholders define their needs and translate these needs into business requirements
  • Build consensus among stakeholders to validate and finalize the requirements
  • Work with development team to ensure technical requirements are properly implemented
  • Support users of the analytical products owned by Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with Data Governance to help its implementation within the Data team
  • Deliver all essential elements of the systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, business workflows or other detailed deliverables
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases and test scripts
  • Participation in user acceptance testing, data verification, documentation and assisting in identifying and documenting the current- and future-state business processes
  • Develop training plans
  • Develop Training documentation to include: User Guides, Training Exercises, Job Aids, Web Trainings, etc.
  • Maintain SCRUM/Agile Backlogs and sprint tasks
  • Knowledge of Databases and SQL


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
  • Experience in writing Technical Specifications
  • Experience in creating Reporting Specifications
  • Experience and understanding of structured and unstructured data
  • Experience in a pharma or clinical research setting is a plus
