As a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst, you will gather requirements to guide the design, testing, and delivery of HR solutions. This role will focus on applications in the HR systems process space. Work on a highly skilled project team of developers, project managers, architects, and business analysts following an iterative development methodology (Agile).
You will interface with a variety of software and hardware platforms including Workday HRMS integrations, Adobe eForms document generation, Mendix low code applications, custom Java web apps, Teneo conversational AI Chatbot, and other HR cloud vendor applications. You will also develop familiarity with processes in the HR, payroll, time, learning, compensation, talent, analytics, and benefits.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Consult with business stakeholders to understand business processes and system requirements.
• Provide technical expertise for system functional specifications.
• May configure system settings; plan and execute unit, system, or integration testing.
• May lead cross-functional teams of business functional and technical resources.
• Present proposed design solutions to users and management in a timely, comprehensive, and understandable manner.
• Develop user-interfaces based on client requirements and defined team processes.
• Conduct design or code reviews and testing in accordance with industry best-practices and defined team processes
• Participate in upgrades and release testing of applications.
• Establish best practices and ensure compliance to software development policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance to developers in software design and development including reviewing and providing constructive feedback.
• Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of services, while maximizing our value to the business.
• Manage multiple design, development, and other related tasks concurrently.
• Represent the HR and IT organization as a key technical contact on projects. Interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
• Lead troubleshooting initiatives for complex issues that arise.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in people, process, and technology.
• Provide system documentation, test evidence, and measurements.
• Follow IT standards and production controls for changes.
• Understanding of SOX, privacy, data retention, and GDPR controls.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience with an advanced degree
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
• Previous Medtronic experience
• Experience with design thinking and prototyping
• Strong experience with integrating applications via real time APIs or batch files
• Experience in Java applications environment
• Strong technical skills
• Experience with SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with XML/JSON, RESTful Web Services
• Experience with Java, Grails, GitLab source code control, Jenkins for application deployment
• HP ALM quality Center test evidence
• Understanding of SFTP and PGP keys
• Participation in full project lifecycle implementations.
• Familiar with Agile Scrum project delivery methodology
• Programming or chatbot conversational flows and analytical skills experience.
• Knowledge of application development tools.
• Able to adapt and respond quickly to changing situations.
• Decision-making abilities and problem resolution skills.
• ServiceNow for case tracking, production change management, and configuration management
