Job description

Metropolitan Companies is looking for an entry level Treasury Analyst to join our team! The Treasury Analyst will assist with companywide cash management and compliance functions, as well as support the company's strategic financial objectives. The Treasury Analyst will have extensive interaction with internal stakeholders (tax, legal, accounting, IT, finance) and external partners (including relationship banks) across a variety of treasury activities. The Treasury Analyst will continually seek to build efficiencies and improve Treasury processes, procedures, management reporting, and Treasury workstation capabilities to help build a treasury infrastructure to support company growth. This position will report to the Sr. Treasury Analyst. Responsibilities:

  • Open new bank accounts and maintain user access & user profiles in the banking platforms.
  • Prepare weekly cash positioning report for management team.
  • Manage reporting requirements for existing banking relationships and coordinate inspections & appraisals of properties.
  • Monitor ACH Positive Pay for all bank accounts.
  • Process funding transactions on a weekly basis.
  • Execute manual cash movements across all business through wires, ACH and book transfers.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of a Treasury workstation in connection with broader financial system projects.
  • Ad Hoc analyses upon request from management.

Competencies:

  • Detail oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • 0 to 2 years of overall experience including any internships
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, EXCEL and Outlook, as well as banking platforms
