Job description
Summary: The Finance Analyst provides product and illustration support in the initial design and re-evaluation of estate, wealth transfer and business succession plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other assignments, projects and duties may be assigned):
· Generates illustrations for proposed plan including mortality adjusted studies
· Compares illustrations for competitiveness and ability to meet long-term objectives
· Performs due diligence on carrier and product selection
· Designs and reviews plans to determine financial soundness and calculating premiums
· Analyzes statistical data such as mortality and constructs probability tables to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits
· Utilizes software platforms to generate life insurance product illustrations to assist Advisors in providing appropriate recommendations
· Provides final insurance presentations for client meetings
· Maintains library for product information and sample presentations
· Provides ad-hoc analysis as needed
· Maintains credential database for various software/websites
· Monitors industry news and trends, and updates the department as needed
· Provides technical knowledge and analysis of insurance related products and terms
· Ensures illustrations and presentations comply with industry standards and regulatory bodies

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Mathematics required
· 0-3 years of experience in insurance illustrating or product case design, finance, or analytics
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills (of physical and digital data)
· Ability to set and manage priorities, adjust workflows, and meet deadlines
· Ability to learn new and changing systems
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
· Proven ability to practice discretion in confidential matters
· Experience using financial modeling platforms (ex eMoney) a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
