Job description

Award winning digital marketing agency has an immediate need for an experienced SEM/PPC Campaign Manager. This person is responsible for the success of developing and implementing paid media strategies within Google Ads, Bing Ads and other PPC platforms.


As part of the growing Multi-Channel Department, the ideal candidate will also be responsible for sharing their knowledge and expertise internally with growing marketers at different parts of their professional careers. This role additionally supports all aspects of paid campaigns, from strategy development, implementation, optimization, to reporting and analysis. This candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns in excess of $25k per month in an agency setting or in-house. Most importantly, we need a positive personality willing to contribute in a team setting and have the drive to learn and grow with the agency.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a growing portfolio of Paid Media clients
  • E-Commerce and Lead Generation Campaign Management
  • Data/Shopping Feed Management Experience
  • Account Auditing and Recommendation Consulting
  • Research keywords; develop and structure new ad groups and keyword lists
  • Extract campaign performance insights and produce thoughtful client reports
  • Manage Paid Search through 3rd Party Ad Networks and Vendor relationships
  • Manage media budgets and spend
  • Interface with client contacts to collaboratively drive success


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands on PPC/Paid Search management experience with Google, Yahoo & Bing
  • Complete mastery of Google Ads; proficiency with Google AdWords Editor *Google Analytics experience; ability to quickly learn and integrate new features/functions
  • Solid understanding of PPC best practices and key principles including but not limited to:
  • Optimizing for different networks and platforms * Bid management, quality score and ad position
  • Ad Copy Writing
  • Utilizing multivariate testing to determine best call to action in ad copy
  • Optimization down to the keyword, ad, and managed placement level
  • Cost-per-lead and cost-per-sale optimization with a strong focus on conversion metrics to drive increased campaign ROI
  • History of managing large e-commerce campaigns
  • Experience with bid management tools such as Kenshoo, Acquisio or Marin + 3rd party SEM tools, SpyFu, SimiliarWeb(nice to have, not requirements)

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking. Ability to develop workarounds amid sub-optimal conditions; ability to see multiple alternatives and make sense of ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently. Demonstrated history of self management, decisiveness, and leadership within assigned role.
  • Cross-functional collaboration. Ability to communicate effectively with client managers and development team about technical requirements related to media campaigns.
