Job description
Hendrick Manufacturing located in Carbondale, Pennsylvania has an immediate opening for an experienced Human Resource Coordinator to support our busy Human Resources Department. This is a full time position, Monday - Friday; 8AM - 4:30PM.
This position will provide support to employees and assist the HR Team and Management with administrative and HR duties.
Qualifications Required:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Above average computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel Outlook and Access.
* The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Working knowledge of maintaining and keeping records and report filing.
* 2-4 years administrative assistance experience, preferably in a human resources department.
* Ability to create mail merge documents used in mass mailings, create original Excel spreadsheets, access databases, etc.
* Familiar with FMLA, COBRA, Worker's Compensation, EOE, Unemployment Benefits, etc.
* Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
* Work well under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
* Ability to prioritize tasks.
* Good organization and time management skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision after initial training.
* Have a full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
Qualifications Desired -
* Associates degree in human resources or business administration.
* 3-5 years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Prior FMLA and benefit administration experience.
* Experience with an HRIS/HRMS.
Essential functions & responsibilities -
* Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity with all job tasks entrusted to them.
* Process all new hire documentation and input information into HRIS, Key Fob and software systems.
* Coordinate offsite document storage.
* Act as HR contact point for Key Fob system, and assist Maintenance Manager with Camera and Security system.
* Maintain and organize all personnel records, files digital and electronic HR records.
* Prepare and process all documents related to claims for Worker's Compensation benefits.
* Maintain and update data on the HRIS, Key Fob and software systems, including but not limited to employee information, pay information, benefit plan updates, etc.
* Prepare and produce reports and track metrics as required.
* Assist in the compilation and preparation of surveys and other projects.
* Assist in the planning of employee meetings and/or events including but not limited to; Holiday Party, Summer Picnic, Award Luncheon, etc.
* Schedule meetings, interviews, training sessions, HR events and maintain agendas.
* Actively participate on the Safety Committee, record meeting minutes and assist in maintaining the Safety Data Sheets database.
* Assist in ordering process for various items, including but not limited to; uniforms, safety supplies, etc.
* Assist in FMLA leave administration, preparing leave paperwork and ongoing leave tracking.
* Assist managers with employee vacation tracking.
* Conduct New Employee Orientation, and track the 15/30/60/90 day new hire evaluations.
* Provide Supervisors/Managers with monthly evaluations to ensure timely completion.
* Perform all other duties and assignments as required, including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
* Regular attendance is required.
