We have a great opportunity for a STAFF SC I ENTIST specializing in antibody production (polyclonal and monoclonal) and/or vaccine testing services (preclinical immunogenicity and efficacy) studies. This position is located at our Denver, PA site. This is a senior-level position in the Antibody Reagents & Vaccines (ARV) group that:

  • Provides scientific support to ARV team, Study Direction, Management, Principal Investigators, and Contributing Scientists.
  • Leads new technical capabilities for Antibody Reagents & Vaccines (ARV) group, implements systems/processes, and trains technical personnel after development of the technology.
  • Plans and leads ARV scientific discipline within the laboratory and specific scientific application for ARV assay development and validation studies. Monitors and maintains compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLP like studies, regulatory agency guidelines, and study-specific protocols.

Education/Qualifications:
  • PhD preferred, or equivalent degree in immunology, immunotoxicology or related field, or Master's or Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 8-10 years of experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
Experience:
  • 8-10 years of related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Skilled in conducting research, data interpretation, and writing reports.
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant instrumentation.
  • Some experience in performing scientific presentation and preparing scientific publications.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Prior experience in ARV procedures, method development, and validation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of instrumentation within ARV such as Flow cytometers, ELISPOT, MSD, Luminex, ELISA plate readers
  • Flow cytometry, cell based assay analysis or ELISA
  • Ability to interact effectively with all staff and management levels.
  • Problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong English writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory automation software, system software, and Microsoft applications.
