Overview

*This is a remote work opportunity. The EBO Analyst is responsible for the handling of all EBO loan level inventory. This individual will assist with operational buyout processes, clearing of custodial exceptions, reconciliation of custodial reports, sub-servicer notifications and reconciliation of servicing data, warehouse lending activities specific to EBO inventory, resolution of data and/or document exceptions, and re-delivery of eligible EBO assets to agency and/or private investors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews EBO loan inventory to ensure loans are properly allocated to warehouse lines in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Completes necessary movements of loans for warehouse transactions or securitizations.
  • Ensures EBO activities are properly documented and reported to accounting, treasury, reporting team, sub-servicers, document custodians and lenders.
  • Monitors EBO inventory to ensure loans that resolve or reperform are identified and are communicated to accounting, lenders, custodians and sub-servicers.
  • Performs pooling, delivery and warehouse settlement activities for loans being pooled to investors from the EBO portfolio.
  • Reviews custodial exception reports regularly to cure EBO collateral exceptions.
  • Reviews and evaluates various data tapes to identify and resolve data exceptions.
  • Retrieves necessary documentation or data needed to facilitate pricing, funding or securitization.
  • Ensures policies and procedures for activities related to the EBO portfolio are properly documented.
  • Prepares and distributes departmental reporting.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must have experience with warehouse lending operations.
  • Must have experience with pooling, delivery and securitization of reperforming loans to agency investors and private investors.
  • Must have knowledge of mortgage loan documents, in particular, documents held within a mortgage custodial file.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and CAS.
  • Proficient with SQL, Python, MS Access, Business Objects, Tableau, CAS and/or other query tools required (or comparable experience)
  • Must be capable with working with large data sets.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Ideal candidate will have strong understanding of mortgage servicing requirements and secondary marketing experience.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors preferred with a minimum of 3 to 5 years mortgage banking experience in the areas of closing, post-closing, mortgage servicing, and secondary marketing. Additional experience may be acceptable in lieu of educational requirements.
