Position Description Job SummaryIn this role, the Manager, Risk Management and Insurance will work closely with and assist the Director of Risk Management in the identification and management of existing and emerging risks that might affect the goals and mission of businesses operating in North America Region of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain.The individual in this role will have responsibility for the delivery of insurance, risk management and loss prevention services and support to businesses in North America region. This will be accomplished by proactively interacting with businesses and management, developing trust and allowing for effective exchange of information, conducting risk inquiries and evaluations, acquiring and analyzing risk data, providing timely notifications to stakeholders, preparing reports, delivering educational presentations to internal departments, and resolving other risk related issues as they arise.This individual will manage assigned insurance and risk management programs for North America businesses in accordance with the Group's risk management doctrine and philosophy.The Manager, Risk Management and Insurance will work closely with members of Finance, Law, Environmental Health & Safety, Purchasing, Human Resources, Security and other internal clients in the development and communication of programs aimed at mitigating risk of loss to businesses, while minimizing long-term total cost of risk for the Group.Essential Functions: Insurance Program Management Manage all aspect of assigned insurance programs, which may include, but are not limited to the following: property, aviation products, non-owned aviation, environmental, storage tank, and cargo. Individual will also be responsible for evaluating the need for placement of construction policies for capex projects. Person in the position will also be responsible for managing activities of third-party vendors associated with assigned insurance programs. Claims Management - Responsible for overseeing management of claim issues on assigned lines of insurance coverage and will work closely with in-house coverage and litigation counsel on efficient claims resolution strategies. Contract Reviews Provide advice, review and negotiate contracts on issues related to insurance, indemnification and other risk management related matters.Required Qualifications Undergraduate or higher degree in finance, law, insurance and risk management or comparable degree. At least ten (10) years experience in risk management, insurance and/or brokerage fields in progressively more responsible positions. Firm understanding of various property and casualty insurance and risk management concepts. Fluency in English, both written and oral. Comfortable working in an international environment. Ability to travel 20-25% to manufacturing sites as needed.
