Our company encourages diversity and inclusion in all its forms while making the world a more beautiful and sustainable home.What's the Job?The Human Resources (HR) Senior Financial Analyst will support and report to the Central Group Controller as well as work closely with the VP Total Rewards, as a financial analyst and advisor for all North America (NA) HR financial matters, including: Employee related costs -- such as bonus programs, medical costs, IBNP, temporary workforce, vacation, PEG, pension, post-retirement medical, long-term disability, stock-based compensation, and worker's compensation. Saint Gobain North America (SGNA) HR cost centers such as Talent & Development, Talent Acquisition, Mobility, Benefits, Compensation, and Other employee programs. Financial Analysis Preparation of annual central HR cost center budgets and estimates for all employee related costs impacting the NA Region in collaboration with the HR management team and Senior Vice President of Human Resources Monthly review of actual vs. budget and prior year analysis for all central HR cost centers, explanations of key variance drivers, and identification of cost saving actions Monthly review of HR headcount movements vs. budget and prior year, as well as monthly review of overall NA headcount trends Monthly review of NA costs related to temporary labor Monthly analysis of medical and pharmaceutical costs Monthly analysis of professional service costs for employee related services, including tracking of hours and planned cost savings relative to RFP commitments Develop & maintain monthly HR scorecard/dashboard to track key KPIs related to NA employee costs and key diversity metrics Maintain historical trend analysis for all NA employee related costs and HC Analyze and summarize SGC NA Foundation costsAccounting and Controlling Review and ensure accuracy of monthly accruals related to medical, professional services, etc. Assist in determining annual CT BU bonus targets and periodically calculate CT BU performance vs. targets Assist to compile all NA annual bonus targets and performance metrics Maintain historical trend analysis of business performance relative to bonus targets Coordinate & support audit of NA Region employee related costs and stand-alone SGC Foundation audit Determine BU allocations and liaise with payroll team as appropriate Review of key contracts related to HR or employee costs and determine related accounting implicationsMedical Perform the processing, billing, tracking, accounting and financial analysis for the Saint-Gobain North American health & welfare plans, and provide timely status reports in the following areas: Monitor benefit plan experience via the ongoing analysis of emerging claims experience and identify key trends & actions. Analyze information provided by the health & welfare vendors Interact with key vendors to improve processes, reporting and financial analysis information Manage the consultant/actuary relationships in the development of rate projections, contribution analysis, and IBNR estimates Conduct financial analysis, as needed, for labor negotiations and delegation consent requestsOther Develop, implement, and manage audit processes for vendors, including contribution processes, vendor payment processes, banking transactions and performance management measurements Work with Compensation and Mobility teams to review and develop financial processes, including analysis, billing, reporting and presentation requests. Including but not limited to strategy analysis, benchmarking and replying to external data requests Work with Human Resources management teams and VP of Total Rewards to ensure that a system of proper internal controls is in place, annual compliance statements, and a self-audit program. Support audits by internal control services and/or external auditors Provide support and analysis for the employee matters related to acquisitions, divestitures, purchasing agreements/contracts, plant closures, new service/vendor cost analysis and benchmarkingRequired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/ or Accounting is required. Master's Degree preferred 6+ years of experience in accounting/budget and/or audit with audit/accounting procedures and functions Strong analytical, critical thinking & quantitative skills Excellent written & oral communications, interpersonal & negotiation skills. Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels within and outside the organization Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
