Job description

Position summary: Responsible for performing various duties to support the Loan Operations Department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask


Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Inputs loans to Jack Henry core processing system directly from credit memorandum and loan documents. Verify that all documents have been properly executed
  • Ensures timely recording of collateral documents on new loans as well as the timely release of liens upon loan payoffs
  • Performs necessary system maintenance on Jack Henry system including renewals, extensions, modifications, etc.
  • Maintains tickler system in order to track receipt of recorded collateral documents, evidence of current insurance coverage, etc.
  • Creates and maintains legal and credit files using the Bank's scanning system
  • Maintains participation loan files and process participation transactions as support to the Senior Loan Operations Accountant
  • Maintains Jack Henry system to accurately account for nonaccrual loans, charge -offs and troubled debt restructures
  • Performs duties as liaison between Loan Operations Department and the other areas of the Bank, specifically the various lending functions and credit administration in order to encourage communication and improve operational workflow
  • Assists supervisor as requested and perform necessary loan operational duties as back up when required
  • Handles requests for loan draws and pay downs and ensure necessary approvals are obtained prior to processing
  • Handles payoff requests from customers, title companies and other financial institutions after verifying that customer has properly authorized the release of information
  • Maintains records, post transactions and book new extensions of credit on the Bank's lease portfolios and floor plan loans
  • Performs all duties necessary to effect timely and efficient servicing of portfolio
