The NES Fircroft Chicago office are calling all candidates to join the largest petrochemical project in the world as they are seeking several Permit Writers. This individual would be employed on a contract basis and be tasked writing numerous field permits for LOTO, confined spaces, and other high risk hazard permits for the commissioning and start-up units. Job Details
Location: Monaca, PA
Hours: M-F—50-60 hours per week.
Duration: 9-12 months with opportunity for extensions.
Pay: $60-$80/hr. depending on previous experience + monthly stipend for candidates that qualify.

Job Responsibilities

• Support writing and issuing permits for work in our ethane cracker and/or polyethylene units.
• Candidates would be writing and issuing numerous permits throughout their 12 hour shifts for LOTO, confined spaces, and other high risk job hazards.
• Help support the commissioning start-up and equipment operations of the ethane cracker and polyethylene units.
• This is heavily an office/control room based roll with some hands-on field activities mixed in.
• Will train on client procedures onsite - must be aware of hazards on the unit but will not be writing intrusive permits.

Job Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of permit writing experience within the oil & gas and/or petrochemical industries.
• Must have previous experience writing permits for LOTO, Permit to Work, and safe isolation.
• Must be comfortable with primarily office/control room based work as opposed to hands-on field work.
• Candidates with a background in commissioning operations and start-up are strongly preferred.
• Candidates local to the Monaca, PA region would be a big plus.
