As an HR Coordinator, you are a valuable part of our success collaborating with the team throughout our company footprint to deliver "Beyond the Expected" results.
Some of the Work You'll Do:
· Commit to safe work - there is nothing more important!
· Recruits talented personnel from job posting, interviewing, pre-employment compliance, to hiring
· Creates and maintains department records ensuring compliance, accuracy and confidentiality
· Assists in HR department compliance audits
· Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations concerning employment
· Ensures compliance regarding all employment practices: selection processes, I-9 reporting, recordkeeping, EEOC compliance and reporting, and file management
· Administers the company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy including pre-hire, annual, random and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
· Updates CDLs, DOT physicals, and motor vehicle records on an ongoing basis
· Completes DOT employment verifications
· Coordinates onboarding and training for new hires
· Conducts and reviews pre-employment drug tests and background checks
· Organizes job startup boxes containing mandatory postings and other job requirements for each field job location
· Reviews HR invoices for accuracy and approves for payment
· Enters and scans new employee information and documents into HR systems
· Assumes additional tasks assigned by senior management or which are logically inherent to this position
Here's What You Need:
· Bachelor's Degree in HR, HR Management, Labor Relations or related field preferred
· Minimum 1 year of experience supporting HR related processes and systems
· Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
· Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations
· Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly
· Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
· Acute attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative
· Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
· Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
· Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people throughout the course of work
· Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
· Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
